DESCRIPTION:Whether you have green fingers or not\, tree planting is something everyone can have a go at. We have plenty of people on hand to help out\, and 150 saplings to plant to form the school’s brand new native\, mixed-species hedgerow which will be both a screen from the road and a teaching tool for children. We will also be helping to re-erect the teepees after they came down in the recent winds\, and to weave in the willow hedge. If you have gloves or spades please do bring them along.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy 20.5 miles of walking around the Bathscape. This walk offers stunning views\, history\, heritage\, countryside and city\, including Little Solsbury Hill. A beautiful walk in any season as it takes in river\, canal\, meadows\, woodland and peaceful valleys. \n\n\n\nAs a long-distance challenge\, is an event of the adults of the school.  \n\n\n\nDistance: 20.5 milesStart time: 9am prompt (meet from 8:30am)Walk duration: We would expect to complete in 8hrs allowing for rests and lunch. Start point and car parking: Odd Down Park and Ride Map pin: https://goo.gl/maps/zCcBJ8T4YLCqSpb37  Map: available in four parts on the BathScape website along with detailed route descriptions.  \n\n\n\nA note on dogsThis walk goes through fields with livestock. The walk has far-reaching views towards Pen y Fan into the Cwm Sere valley\, a Bronze Age burial cairn and evidence of military firing ranges. Keep following the road downhill until you reach a T-junction. Turn right here and follow the road up through the valley until you reach the second Forestry Commission car park on the left\, which is the start point. \n\n\n\nMap: available on the National Trust website along with a detailed route description.   \n\n\n\nA note on dogsThis walk goes through Welsh upland sheep farms\, many of the sheep will have lambs at this time of year. If you choose to bring your dog\, they will likely need to be on a lead for much of the day. You must be sure your dog is physically able to walk ten miles in potentially poor weather\, and is reliable around sheep\, on the lead and around other dogs. Please let us know ahead of the walk if you intend to bring your dog so we can ensure all walkers are happy with the number of dogs planning to come.  \n\n\n\nKit ListPlease note that the weather conditions can change very quickly in May in Brecon. DESCRIPTION:Open to all in the school\, a fun obstacle course around the school grounds!  \n\n\n\nDue to the bad weather before Easter the obstacle course was postponed and will now take place on Friday 28 April. If you didn’t get a sponsorship form you can download one here or ask at the school office for a copy.  \n\n\n\nChildren will do the obstacle course as part of their Friday PE lesson – parents are not required to attend. All funds raised will go towards building a brand new sandpit for the main playground which all children will get to use.
