FOSSA is thrilled to have been able to support the creation of a brand new garden at school which all of the children will benefit from.

We secured the funds (£1700) for the new planters, soil, plants, tools, and equipment from the West of England Combined Authority through the Pollinator Fund last summer, and have now completed the project.

In addition to the new garden, children have been able to join an after school gardening club over the last few terms, and have learnt about pollinators, how to grow fruit and vegetables, how to look after a garden, and have planted a native hedgerow on site.

The new garden will continue to develop over the seasons, providing a learning opportunity for students and a safe space for pollinators.

Thank you to the WECA Pollinator Grant team for funding Shoscombe’s new garden!
